In 1986 he appeared Chris Taylor in "Platoon," a gripping drama about the Vietnam War. That same year, he appeared in "The Wraith." In 1987 he starred in "Wall Street." Sheen is best known as a television comic. When Michael Fox left the hit, "Spin City," Charlie was hired as his replacement. In 2003 Sheen began a run as Charlie Harper in "Two and a Half Men." That show took him to the level of the highest paid actor for a television series. The lead character is loosely based on Sheen's bad-boy reputation.

Charlie Sheen, Personal

Charlie is the son of actor, Martin Sheen. Charlie was known as one of the "brat pack" and that title apparently had some merit. He has been married three times though all three marriages were brief. He made headline news in 1995 when he was named as one of the clients of an escort service managed by madam, Heidi Fleiss.

He has been in and out of rehab, admitting an addiction to cocaine. In addition to treatment facilities, the drugs have landed the star in jail on more than one occasion.

In early 2011, Sheen demanded a 50% raise from "Two and a Half Men" producers. After reconsideration, he retracted the demand, but after making derogatory remarks about the show's producer, the sitcom was cancelled. Charlie Sheen's current television career may be over, but you can be sure we have not seen the last of Charlie Sheen.
